This post is part of a project I’m creating for Landfall Games. The rest of my project can be found here.
Week 3 is coming to an end, which means there’s only one week left to go. This week, I wrote more blog posts, a newsletter, and three social media posts.
Dry Content Channels
This week was vastly different than the last. I exhausted all of my content channels when I created my first series of social media posts and a newsletter, leaving myself in a tough situation. The good news is, I saw this coming to a certain extent and set up a community event I could create more content around.
Last week, at the end of my first newsletter, I detailed an art and modding contest that would take place throughout the whole month of March. This week, I wrote a special issue blog post with the winners of said contest.
Please note, I did not actually run a contest. It was hypothetical.
Along with the blog post, I wrote the newsletter encouraging readers to check out the blog post for more details on the top three contestants.
Non-project Work
While this project has required elements, I wanted to show my ability to go beyond the status quo.
This week, I wrote an additional blog post detailing my process for creating content on behalf of a company I don’t work for. I wrote about finding resources, matching the company’s voice, and how to handle a lack of official content. You can find the post here.
As well as writing an additional blog post, I rewrote and rerecorded my elevator pitch. You can find it here, at the top of my talent profile.
This second draft of my elevator pitch is more direct, with a stronger call to action than my first attempt. It’s also shorter, while still conveying everything I wanted to.
Week 3 was productive, but now it’s crunch time. In week 4, I will be putting all of my content on my landing page, as well as ironing out any last edits that need to be made to the content I created.
If you’d like to stay up-to-date as I develop this project, more updates will be posted here.
